Vegan French Toast in Under 30 Minutes!

Whether you’re a vegan or not, this French toast is absolutely amazing. Featuring Prima Pure’s Himalayan Black Salt, Vanilla Infused Honey, and Nutritional Yeast, this French toast or pain perdu, literal French translation “lost bread,” has the exact flavor profile of traditional french toast. The nutritional yeast brings a “cheesy” flavor profile, paired with the sulfuric “eggy” black salt, it tastes as if there are eggs and milk in the recipe. Ingredients

  • 1 1-day old baguette sliced
  • 1 cup soymilk
  • 2 tbsp Prima Pure nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon + 1/2 tsp. for sprinkle
  • 2 tbsp whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 tbsp Prima Pure Himalayan Black Salt  
  • 1 tbsp Prima Pure Vanilla infused honey
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil for cooking

 

Get Started by slicing a 1-day old baguette into thick diagonal slices, leave out he end of the bread.
Blend all ingredients, except almonds, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and bread, in a blender
Pour the mixture over the bread and sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon over bread
Let rest for 10 minutes or up to 20 minutes.
Press the wet bread in the chopped almonds on the inside of the bread
Heat one full tablespoon of Coconut oil on medium heat
Cook each piece for 2 minutes on each side. Make sure to watch the heat so that the almonds do not burn.
