Nutritional Yeast is packed with nutrition, particularly B-vitamins, folic acid, selenium, zinc, and protein. Its low in fat, is gluten-free and contains no added sugars or preservatives. Aside from B12, nutritional yeast is also a "complete protein," and is low in fat and sodium, is free of sugar and gluten, and contains iron.

Uses of nutritional yeast:
- Melt a few tablespoons into soups, stews or plain heated chicken or vegetable broth. The yeast will easily dissolve but may turn the mixture a little cloudy.
- Added to vegan gravy.
- Substitute nutritional yeast for cheese in your favorite recipe.
- Same goes for vegan mac and cheese: sub 1/2 to 1 cup nutritional yeast for grated cheese in the white sauce. You may want to add some salt or soy sauce to balance the flavors.
