Black Rice - (Forbidden) – 453.59g (16 oz.)
Black Rice also known as longevity rice and purple rice, is a glutinous medium-grain rice that's slightly sticky with a silky dark indigo color when cooked. It is a source of iron, essential amino acids, Vitamin B1, B2 and E and antioxidants. It is believed that black rice has more vitamin E and antioxidants than blueberries.*
The bran hull (outermost layer) of black rice contains one of the highest levels of anthocyanin antioxidants found in food. Anthocyanin antioxidants have been linked to helping prevent cardiovascular disease, protecting against cancer caused by free radical, improving brain function and reducing inflammation. *
- Rich, sweet nutty flavor
- Black grains fluff to shiny, dark indigo when cooked

It adds a rich, healthy element to any poké bowl. In this recipe, we love the striking balance of color, mildly sweet, nutty flavor of the black rice paired with the tuna, cucumbers, tomatoes and guacamole.
